I’m pleased to let everyone know that The Beekeeper’s Daughter will be set up at Arts Goggle with honey and garden art! Arts Goggle will take place on May 18th from about 4 to 10 p.m. It is a street festival where businesses become art galleries and the streets fill up with food, various vendors and music. For more info, read here.
More details to come. I still am not sure exactly where I will be located, but I am hoping to be near the Golf Building on Main Street.
Keep up with Facebook for updates, and I hope to see y’all there!
We will be selling honey on Wednesday (April 3rd) at Rahr Brewery from 5 to 7:30 p.m.
Come stock up on honey! We will also have gift wrapped honey available for Mother’s Day — nothing like something sweet for your sweet mom!
Thank you for your patience and love, mom! Love always, Tina Lee.
For more information about the brewery tour, check out the website.
We had a great year harvesting honey in 2012. The honey collected last spring (several hundred pounds total) is still available in various forms at Elizabeth Anna’s or from me directly (by arrangement).
Our products make beautiful gifts for any occasion. We can gift wrap, too!
HONEY BEARS, 12 oz. — Special price of $8 if you purchase it directly from me.
2 LB RAW HONEY (crystallized) — Special price of $20 if you purchase it directly from me.
2 LB NON-RAW HONEY (this one will still pour out of the jar easily) — Because this is not one of our popular items and we are switching to selling all raw honey in the 2 lb jars, this one is on special sale for $15 if you purchase it from me.
Summer 2011 Honey Sale!
Lots of good news. We are finally harvesting the spring wildflower honey!
Also, we were able to get some financial help due to the fact we lost several hives to the heat last year. That means we can charge less for our honey and still cover the cost of production, including a new piece of equipment for extracting honey that we recently purchased to make our lives easier (and less sticky).
Our new, lower prices at are…
$25 for a 2-pound jar
$10 for a 12 oz. honey bear
Currently only the Summer 2011 honey is in stock (both in jars and honey bears) at Elizabeth Anna’s. We will have the wildflower honey in stock in about a month.
Need some honey? Come get it at Elizabeth Anna’s Old World Garden in Fort Worth.
She is selling the remaining two-pound jars from our Rahr adventure for $32 each. This is a great deal if you compare it to other local honey prices!
Also, thanks to great feedback from the Rahr event, we are now proud to say…
We can accept debit and credit cards!
And honey bears are in the works for the next honey flow, which should be at the end of the spring season.
Please let us know if there is anything else we could do to make ourselves better for customers. We want our business to grow so that we can share our wonderful, delicious bounty with more people. I can’t imagine a more local, sustainable and environmentally kind way to sweeten up food and beverages.
It’s not time to gather honey yet but we can still enjoy last year’s labor.
Come try a delicious sample of our last honey harvest of 2011 at Rahr & Sons Brewery today from 1 to 3 p.m.
For more details about where it’s located or how it works, go to their website here.
We will also be selling our honey at the brewery. It’s the last case of 2 pound jars we have. So, come get it while it lasts!
The next honey flow will be in the spring after the bees have collected pollen from everything that is about to bloom. Hopefully the drought last summer hasn’t demolished too many of our hives so we can share even more of our goods with you guys.
Hope to see you soon! For more frequent updates, follow us on Twitter (@BeekeepDaughter).
The Beekeeper’s Daughter debuted at Elizabeth Anna’s Bounty Barter Fair the first weekend of November with much success.
We didn’t have a lot of honey available but all 12 jars we had sold before the end of the afternoon. I was able to meet lots of interesting people and talk to vendors about selling products in Fort Worth.
Since then, we’ve created a Facebook page and Twitter account as well as this website. We’ve also heard lots of great feedback about our honey and selling in the future.
Fort Worth, prepare yourself. Next year is going to be amazing. Expect to see us at fairs and events, especially ones in the near Southside.
In the meantime, check out our products page for info about vintage beehive boxes and self-watering containers. We have plenty in stock and are happy to help people work on winter projects in preparation for spring gardening.
